Jeff Whitehead 

Jeff Whitehead loves all things creative with a primary focus on songs and picture books. He has written and released two full length albums and performed hundreds of shows, opening for some of americana and country music's biggest acts. He has written songs featured on albums such as the Band of Heathens 2023 release, Simple Things, which spent 6+ weeks as the number one album on the Americana Music Association chart.  Other notable accomplishments include winning first place in the international American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Competition in 2006. Whitehead holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation Biology from Texas A&M University and his love of nature informs his writing and shows in his love for animal protagonists in children’s tales. When he's not writing creatively, he writes flight planning software for a tech firm in Austin, TX and wrangles two toddlers and a bird dog with his wife, Lauren.
