"Rain Like this in Georgia" to Radio this Summer!

We'll be releasing the new single "Rain Like this in Georgia" to Texas radio this summer. This will be the final single released from Bloodhound Heart as we go back into the studio this summer to record a new album with Producer, Scott Davis (Band of Heathens, Hayes Carll, etc.). Can't wait to get new music out there and hit the road!

Review of Live Show at Floores Country Store by JJ&B

We had a great time at Floore's Country Store in Helotes, Texas last week and I guess these folks did too. Thanks to Jesus, Jazz, and Buddhism for writing up this great review of the show!

Check it out here:

"He was sincere, lyrically engaging, melodically diverse, serious about his music, filled with stage presence but not encumbered by theatricality.  There was something genuine and kind of innocent about him.  He sounded like a Texas singer-songwriter to us."

This Month's Recommended Album at Galleywinter

"This month’s recommended album:  Jeff Whitehead – Bloodhound Heart. I’m still early in the listening of this, but it is fresh.  It reminds me of when I first heard K Phillips a couple years ago.  This record has a pleasing mix of styles and Whitehead’s whiskey-soaked rasp cradles each lyric with just enough care to make each line believable. Heartfelt, soulful, folksy, and hard-hitting…a must-have."

Stellar Reviews for Bloodhound Heart!

""Every song's a prayer" sings Jeff Whitehead on the opener of his thoughtful new album Bloodhound Heart. It's a statement of personal direction that I wish applied to more artists, but certainly rings true across Whitehead's nine soulful cuts here."
-Farce the Music

“This album will garner multiple descriptions and labels... but obvious and most accurate is that it's just good."
-Sarah White, Aggie 96, Best in Texas Mag.
"It’s only February, but I’ve already found the album of the year. Don’t even bother looking any further. You needn’t strain yourself searching any more."
-Fiddle Sticks and Steel Guitars

"I’ve really enjoyed listening to this album. Jeff’s voice reminds me a bit of Ray LaMontagne. It has a nice rasp to it. It is a heartfelt, through out album. This album has some Southern soul to it. I really dig it and recommend it to y’all."
